Six hundred years ago Sri Lakshminrisimha appeared in the dream
of a great mahatma and instructed him to come to Ahobilam in
the present day Andhra Pradhesh. His name was Srivasacharya.
He reported this dream to his Acharya who instructed him to
obey the command of Sriman Narayana. He then proceeded to
Ahobilam from Kanchipuram, a distance of about 400 KM.
Upon reaching Ahobilam Sri Lakshminrisimha appeared before
him and initiated the young Srinivasacharya into Sanyasam.
This great Yati came to be knwon as Srimad Athivan Satakopa
Jeeyar. He was the founder of Srimad Ahobila Matam. Then,
Sri Malola Nrisimha jumped into the hands of the Jeeyar
and asked to be taken to the villages all across India
so that the common people can pray, worship, and celebrate
the glory of Sri Malolan. From that time onwards till
this very day, a row of 45 Sanyasis of Srimad Ahobila Matam
have been criss crossing the land of Bharath taking Malolan
to the villages and to the houses of countless devotees.
As Malolan did 600 years ago, perhaps Sri Krishna decided to
criss cross the land of U.S. and visit with the devotees here.
In the month of Vikrama Panguni (March 2001) Sri Krishna
made an avathara at Sri Ahobilam and was worshiped by
Srimad Azhagiya Singar at Ahobilam and Thiruppathi.
On April 6th, Navaneetha Krishna traveled 18000 k.m. to
the shores of U.S.A. The journey of 400 KM by Srimad Athivan
Satakopan 600 years ago from Kanchipuram to Ahobilam was
much more arduous and momentous, it paved the way for the
establishment of the great Sri Vaishnava Matam. The journey
by Navaneetha Krishnan was made in the comfort of an airplane,
but by the divine Sankalpam of Sriman Narayana it is a
significant event in the lives of all Krishna bhakthas in
the U.S. Since the arrival in the U.S. Sri Navaneetha Krishna
has been on Sancharam visiting the houses of devotees. The Lord
is waiting to visit your house. Please click
