Arrange a Dolai in your house

Dolai for Sri Krishna is an event where the participants sing, play musical instruments, tell stories about Krishna, and may be even dance, for the pleasure of Sri Krishna.

When Krishna arrives at your home be prepared to welcome Him into your home as a honored guest. Play some auspicious music such a Nadaswaram. Have "manjaneer Arathi" (turmeric mixed water) ready with at least two ladies. Optionally, a man can have "poorna kumbam" (a silver sombu filled with water with a cocunut as the lid).

Prepare the place where Sri Krishna will have the dolai. Keep fresh flowers ready. Have at least two lamps lit with Ghee. Have some incense sticks lit as well.

After Sri Krishna takes His place in the dolai, an introductory address will be given by one of the representatives of Sri Ahobila Matam. This will be followed by singing, etc. by participants for about an hour or hour and a half.

At the conclusion, there will be Ashtothra Sadanama Archanai, Thaligai (contact our representatives for restrictions), Mangala harati, and Theertha viniyogam.
